I mean, is he even as big a choker as Tony Romo? At least he makes the playoffs and sometimes even gets to the conference championship round, Romo can only rarely make it out of week 17.

I'm an lol Cowboys fan, and I'm up for lolJerry and LolRomo as much as the next guy. But I think the distinction is that Romo rarely has a GREAT team. Romo would be like Joe if he had the Seahawks team in front of him, and then found ways to lose every year.

Romo is a very different animal, as you point out he fails terribly before ever reaching the big stage. Joe & the rest of the Sharks routinely dominate in the regular season then implode, often to less talented teams (theoretically). This included a 4-year run where they won their division with 50+ win seasons and never making a cup appearance. The one year they led the league in points resulted in a first round exit.

They would be closer to Peyton Manning if he didn't have a ring.

I'm sure +- isn't a great NHL stat (before people go pointing that out), but it's still hilarious thornton has a career playoff +- of -27.

How can someone have 132 playoff games played and never even make a Stanley Cup Finals? Even Nash didn't have that many

makes for good trivia I guess
