what about this conspiracy theory...

floyd's the one arum will need to do business with once floyd hangs em up, not manny. how much was floyd's cut for the cotto fight? 32 mill pre ppv, over 50 mill after. floyd will be huge in boxing after he retires as promoter. meanwhile, manny will go back to philippines and not contribute at all to american boxing coffers. so arum needs to keep floyd perceived on top so his brand remains at a height all the way until he retires. a fight with pacman, especially at this stage now that floyd has slown down, will screw up this business plan.

just like floyd said after the cotto fight: "the fight with pacquiao will never happen."

not possible. dude fixes games.

as for the decision, it was fixed for the exact same reason stern does it. straight cash. they didn't even sell out the fight, bradley is charismatic and he fought well (but lost), so they're drumming up hype for the sequel. imo manny will go along, for the same reason.

I don't get it. you know this happens in the nba. you know it. yet none of the mainstream media talk about it. what's the big deal?

it's just business.

Dana White is a boxing fan believe it or not, and it doesn't take a brilliant man to realize that the UFC is at a point where 1 body controls the action, which was what was boxing 60 years ago.

White is being honest there I think.

"Can you believe that?" promoter Bob Arum said. "I had it 10-2! After I got into the ring after the fight, I went over to Bradley and said 'You did very well.' He said, 'I tried hard, but I couldn't beat the guy.'[/B] This is crazy. You talk about killing boxing? All three scorecards you throw out."
Yahoo! Sports scored it 117-111 for Pacquiao, the same margin as Tim Dahlberg of the Associated Press and Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Dan Rafael of ESPN had it 118-110 for Pacquiao. HBO's Harold Lederman had it 119-109, or 11 rounds to one, for Pacquiao.
"This is a death knell for boxing, and I'm going to make a ton of money on the rematch," Arum said.

Also there is usually a problem with footage this early after a PPV fight, right? But, I didn't see it, did they have any? Not a big deal for ESPN to go w/game 7 first, imo.
