Right, but they are also swinging absolutely nuked, trampoline like action bats. The bats you have to use in Little League perform extremely close to using wood.
It’s much more difficult to hit a homerun in Williamsport (225ft USA bat) than it is to hit a homerun on (250ft USSA bat) and it’s not close.
As far as the bases and leadoffs, I agree…. However, it would cause the games to move at a snails pace. Little League games move at break neck speed if you have two pitchers throwing strikes. It’s a great watch. For that reason, I don’t see them ever allowing leadoffs.
Also, there are no 13 year olds that ever play in the LLWS. Ever. Travel you can play the entire season as a “12” year old while actually being 13.
