Runner was halfway to third and catcher still held the ball waiting for him to full commit. That's just terrible even for kids. Every time I've heard this Chicago coaching staff on the mic talking to their players it's clear they literally have no clue what they're talking about. They have some damn good kids though. One coach just said "go hard and I guarantee you'll win this game" wtf does that even mean?

Chicago has to forfeit all of their wins and vacate the LLWS title. They were using players outside of their region. The sad part is that everyone knew they were doing it, but LL was too busy being on the profit train to do anything about it. They conducted a couple of weak investigations and declared them innocent. The media uncovered the truth and after Nevada threatened a lawsuit, LL finally caved and did the only thing they could. LL may be the most corrupt sports organization in the US.

I thought they were using players over the age limit. Not as big of a deal if they just went past the boundary lines especially since in international league they use the whole country

The city I live in has a population of under 60,000 and we have 4 different little leagues and 4 different all star teams.

Some of these teams pull one team from 250K+ people.

not as many now, but growing up we had 3 leagues. I remember thinking if we could have pulled 15 kids or whatever from all 3 leagues we coulda be formidable.

prob woulda got waxed 12-0 to CHINESE TAIPEI tho
