Let me put it out here: Monaco is the ****ing worst circuit and it should be taken off the agenda, probably along all other street circuits

If you want to host a race, build a proper circuit for (F1) racing

It wouldn't be an issue if it was the only shitty street track in a 24 race calendar. At least qualifying is exciting to watch in Monaco until someone decides to make a 'mistake' to lock in their starting position.

That Q3 was insane.

But qualifying in Monaco is insane. Still don't know how Max managed to get 0.290 in the last sector touching walls everywhere.

the last sector .2056 claw back by Verstapen was stunning. this should have been Alonsos pole.
that right hand barrier at the last chicane was the most insane tracking of that corner that I have ever seen when played at speed.

How the f did Max make up enough time to steal pole? How bloody good is Alonso! Gutted for him.

Yeah, agreed.
Let's see if he can possibly sneak up the inside at the start tomorrow...

I thought I caught a spoiler come up on my news feed before watching qualifying of an Aston Martin driver getting pole and it all made sense until that last unbelievable sector by Max. And it literally was one sector that won it for him. Meanwhile Checo completely blew it and right in front of Ricciardo who was a king around Monaco.

No it stays for history - I can put up with one track that is on the calendar only for tradition. Or else why do we watch this sport. Anyway the risk of crashing is reason enough to stay interested if you're bored particularly with these cars now being so wide

Yawn of a race.
This was the best part of the weekend...

At least the rain made the race a little interesting. Probably the least amount of coverage for the two drivers running 1,2.

yes, I think Monaco needs to be run in the rain every year. It'll take some organising but without that 10ish lap interlude it would have been the most boring race of all time

They have infinite money in the part of the world, seriously hope they get creative and improve the track. Not enough real estate? Throw money at the problem and create more space. Even the Master's have altered their course to get with the times throughout all these years to keep up with technology.

Can't have these big F1 cars race down alleys.

RB could seriously win all races this year

The new regulations might make close racing possible, they also have allowed RB to become untouchable. They dominate even more this year than Mercedes did in their time.
Can we go back to 2021 pretty please and have a battle on our hands between Mercedes and RB.

RB should win every race this year if there’s no variance.

Other’s need a badbeat to have hope of grabbing a single win.

Margin of victory all these races aren’t even close. Luckily, Checo mishaps give some drivers an opportunity of a once in awhile Silver medal.

Mercedes was intentionally tuning down their engines in the early hybrid era. Those cars were more dominant than the RedBull now. The one time both Rosberg and Hamilton turned the engine up after a restart they lapped more than a second faster than the rest of the field. The big difference was that Rosberg and Hamilton were fighting each other while Perez is a worse Bottas so it looks worse now. The F1 W06 only lost 1 race in the rain on merit to Vettel. The other 2 losses involved accidents. The F1 W07 did even better the next year with only 2 losses. One was Spain with Ham and Ros running into each other giving Verstappen his first win and the other was a Hamilton engine failure and Rosberg vs Vettel collision.
