Won’t happen but a soft gentlemen type like Albon or Riccardio has a better chance. Max is so Alpha nowadays, they’ll want some beta for the other seat.

Since Marko put his foot in his mouth, Checo’s seat is quite secure til end of contract.
Yeah Albon too should be considered. But let's face it too with Checo he isn't exactly a media personality either but Checo did come with money. I don't think either Albon or Gasly would come with money so they need to do something I suppose to make Horner enthusiastic about them apart from their driving (and btw - money I can't see as a factor any more for Red bull to who they choose for a driver - maybe at Alpha Tauri but not Red bull as sponsors are jumping over each other to get on the car)

I'm a Checo fan, but even I think I'd rather see Albon in that seat. Checo's getting up there in age, and he is what he is, he's not gonna improve. He's had a while to figure out the car, and he just can't do enough with it. Albon has improved considerably since his time in the RB, and would be better equipped to deal w/ the difficulty of being Max's teammate. Ricciardo, meh, I'd rather see Albon, Gasly, or Checo.

This track looks so much fun to drive. Looks like a different sport to Singapore

Made a friendly bet with a buddy.

I have Max winning by +22.5 seconds
Checo finishes ahead of Lando

Shtty part of early race is I can’t drink.

Hope Williams at least considers Liam for next year, even though Knowles did say Logan’s locked in for next year too. Another good showing today will be hard not to give seat to Liam.

Hoping Oscar can do well. He has points finishes 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10, so I expect a podium or 6th.

Oscar’s The real deal! Unpopular opinion, but I believe his future is brighter than Lando’s

Alright, don’t let Liam go. Checo’s gotta go. The low IQ is unbelievable. Earlier in the season he asked if he could go out again when quali is done and now he doesn’t understand getting out of the pit rules.

Hope Alpha Tauri has a great showing today.

Pitstop strategies are going to be interesting today

FIA allowing Perez (who retired on lap 15) to re-enter to serve a penalty, as well as possibly affecting the race of the remaining 15 drivers? It’s now lap 34.

Yet to re-enter, hopefully he stays in the sheds.

Questioned Zak Brown last year as an Executive, now gotta tip my hat, McLaren was pathetic early in the season and now they’ve accomplished 2-3.

Not too mention, scooping Oscar from Alpine and eating Daniel’s high salary for a year. High risk plays. Kudos.

Alonso the 30th oldest driver to finish in the points, 5th oldest in the last 50 years.

Perez now just +33 on Hamilton.

Piastri up to 9th in the standings. I’m sure Russell would have been expected to be higher than 8th at this stage, albeit 58 points clear of Oscar.

Ferrari just 20 behind Mercedes.

Ferrari chasing Merc will be interesting but can’t see it happening.

Car: Slight edge to Ferrari
Driver’s: I lean Merc
Team: Mercedes Team have been winners. Overall smarter too, better decisions.

That was a ****ing joke. He punted a driver off the track and retired, that should be a penalty for the next race

Lol - that was brilliant work by Red bull sending him back out there to serve the penalty and not to have to incur it next race when it could have really mattered.

Surely Red bull do not want to go through this **** with its 2nd driver next year?

Common sense should prevail and in-race penalties should be annulled if a driver retires from the race. Was it a 5 second penalty for overtaking leading into the pit lane under a VSC?

Anyway, saddened to hear of the death of a worker in Las Vegas. I’m not sure if any locals want the race to proceed, more trouble than it’s worth.
