not sure how "last 30 days" can equal the season total though, so who knows how accurate that is...

you'd figure that Vegas has to be a better option than Glendale. and the Coyotes are "failing" almost entirely because:
1. the rink was built out in the 'burbs
2. the team has been terrible like forever

2 would kill pretty much any team, especially when combined with 1. no one's driving out to see a WOAT team 40 times/year.

re: Vegas they've been studying this thing longer and harder than any expansion in history it seems to me, so if it goes ahead i think there's probably decent grounds for it.

if the Coyotes are a lost cause where they are then they'll move to Seattle/Quebec/etc and we'll be done with it. but then again, they've been talking new arena in Phoenix lately, so who knows. in any case i don't really see what it has to do with Vegas, except for the fact that there's a possibility of a natural rivalry.

and given that it's not their money on the line here, i don't get why people are so mad about this. even if it's a failure, it'll be spectacular. this ain't Atlanta, Columbus, Glendale, or Sunrise. this is Vegas baby, and it should be fun while it lasts. bring it on!

Because Las Vegas is maybe one of the easiest cities ever to give a cool name to. Silver Bandits, Gamblers, Rebels, Nights. WTF do BLACK KNIGHTS have to do with anything, let alone the city. Awful.
