Should be easy to find with a search if you are really interested.
#2 has also in recent times been
- Chudzinski (since fired)
- Chip Kelly (since fired twice)
- Harbaugh (since "mutually departed")
- They aforementioned Payton
- Carroll (since then tried to get his MVP level QB completely murdered by spending about tree fiddy on the entire offensive line as a running team)
- Arians (since then has changed since his team has run slightly less pure with injuries obviously)
Others who have had stints in the top 5
- Bowles
- Andy Ried (until his offences stop working, he is a top coach when they do tho)
- Tomlin
- John Harbaugh
- 99% sure Mike Smith was in there years ago
- Pretty sure McAdoo was as well for his exciting offence, until #13 got injured and running every play out of 11 personal got found out

Basically, when your team is winning your a dope coach, and then when they aren't you suck.
Likewise the positions of 2-5 will probably be filled with some combination of McVay, Pedersen, Shanahan, etc.... until two years time where either there results regress to the mean, or they cop injuries, or run bad in close games. Much in the same way when you read the young QB thread and every four weeks or so the order of
Winston, Mariota, Goff, Wentz, Prescott changes from week to week.

Also, I am absolutely shocked that the end game of Jacksonville vs Arizona has not yet been talked about here. Its easily the worst play calling of the year in my opinion. The combination of the first two plays is about as good a combination as nuts and gum...
Arizona punt from around about midfield with 1.14 left. Jags have the ball pinned at their 10. Arizona have one time out so can't stop the clock if the Jags wanna take it to overtime

Both teams let the clock run. Sweet, overtime it is.

Well, its got to be a long field goal by one of the oldest kickers in the league.

Also got to laugh at McCarthy taking on a 56 yard FG at Heinz field (hardest place to kick in the league) and then his last sequence of plays backed up on the goal-line on their last possession (though to be fair that may partially have been on the rookie running back for going OOB). Also might be on Tomlin for not taking a TO on the sack on first down of Hundley
