Chilly has 45 seconds, 2 TOs, and he only needs 25 yards to get in FG range and he just lets the clock run out before the half. The Pack would have played a prevent, at least take a shot Chilly.

Note that Stoops later punted down 9 with 2:00 to go and no timeouts, a truly inexcusable blunder which was largely ignored in favor of DERP DERP MAKE IT ONE POSSESSION EXTEND THE GAME blather.

When down 9, tho, why NOT go for 2? Late in game, obviously, we're talking under 7 min to go in 4th quarter.

You need a 2 point conversion anyway. Why not try the first time and know where you stand, whether you need 1 or 2 more scores? If you miss, you can hurry it up more. If you make it, you know you can tie it up with just a td + extra point.

I'm in agreement that this was bad, but I can see his line of thought - I'm sure he didn't feel like allowing the Pickmaster to haphazardly sling it a few times only to complete one to the wrong team, which he's made a two-decade career of.
