That's what the boy's mom was yelling at the girl's mom. "On the ice she's the same as a boy!"

That's a really tough spot. I'm not sure how I feel. I don't exactly know all the rules for hockey, but it seems like she should have been penalized at least once during the game if she was making illegal contact. I know refs can be LOL bad for kids stuff though, so maybe they kept missing it.

My gut says the correct play would have been to get in her face and let her know if she touches me again she's gonna get hit, hard. following by a semi hard shove so she falls to the ice, and a skate away.

Kind of hard to hate on the kid though.

I don't have kids, but if I had a daughter, I don't think I'd let her play hockey with boys

Will anything happen to the boy or the parents involved?

The boy got ejected and probably out of the next game. Probably nothing happens to parents because it never got beyond verbal.

My 9U guys whooped the host team 11-1 at a tournament today. As we're packing up a commotion starts up on the other side near their dugout. A parent COMING AT the coach with a bat, son! OH ****! I quickly gather my guys who are sort of trickling in that direction, and then get my out. Unfortunately enough people got between them that nothing happened. Heard some shouts about TAKING IT OUTSIDE although we were already outside. Two of the other team's players got trampled in the madness and were hysterically crying.

That made six of their players in total who cried today:
2 Trampled
2 Hit In Head By My Players' Throws While Diving Back to Bases
1 Hit In Arm By Pitch
1 Missed Fly Ball In Center Field

Different sports than hockey but in some rural places girls and boys are forced to play together up till like high school in club sports just because of lack of people

Seems pretty unfair for all involved but apparebtly the way it is from what some people tell me from small town Oklahoma at least

And by some people I mean I have had one person who has told me this

Hockey parents are the worst imo, as far as crossing the lines go, from the bleachers.
I think that could be a function of most of them being blue collar folk and the game being pretty expensive. They are doing a lot to put their kids through the game and thus have very high expectations for them.
I could be wrong, just a random theory from personal experience.

I've seen horrible parents in hockey, wrestling, baseball and football(my son never played baskets but I'm sure they have horrible parents also). In my personal experiences I'd say wrestling parents are the worst.

LOL umpire!! 12U travel ball. I knew something was off with this ump when in the 3rd inning and a runner on 1st the batter swung and missed 3rd strike catcher missed it and the batter takes off for 1st and ump doesn;t know the rule that batters out. Throw beat him there was so it didnt matter but how does ump not know the rule?

Fast forward to sixth inning 5-5 game 1st and third 3-2 2 out so runners are moving on pitch. Grounder to 3rd, throws batter out at 1st, ump says run from 3rd counts because he crossed plate before runner was out at first. My sons coaches are trying to explain that the rule is the run can't score on a force out. The umpire will not budge.

The other team's coach tells the guy working the scoreboard" Put that run up!" He had to know the rules, my son's coaches were telling the other team's coach "Cmon coach tell him the rule." Other team's coach"I'm not calling the game." My sons coach says to other team's assistant who he's friends with " Please tell the ump the rule." He walks over to the ump is about to say something and other teams head coach screams"Get back in the dugout you don't tell him anything!!" Ump eventually calls game and makes our team forfeit because he had too many coaches and parents yelling at him.

Not upset with ump because I believe he truly thought the run counted, he's just incompetent and had no business being out there. The other team's coach has to truly be a POS as a human being. What message is he sending to his kids? Take a win any way you can get it. If the situation would have been reversed I would have informed the umpire of the correct ruling.

Travel baseball usually has a protest system in place for stuff like this.

At least your parents and coaches didn't blow that opportunity by being your typical parents and coaches or anything...

My sons soccer league is starting this Saturday. He's 2.5 years old, but I lied about his age by one year. (it's a 3+ yr league), but later realized they still probably would have accepted him.

Not sure if this is a good idea, but we'll see.

Either way, I'm pumped up.

.
It didn't matter, as in the inning ended there?

Because if there are two outs, the batter can run even if first is occupied.
