I got Julie as an odds on favorite to be the mother of G13.

Yeah that text reeks of Julie wanting the coach's D.

In b4 Dids yells at me for being misogynist.

Before you name dropped him, I imagine that the odds of him reproducing were low enough that I doubt he would have even bothered to open this thread. Given that I'm relatively certain he vanity searches his name on the reg in his endless quest for justice, you should probably prepare for your anus to be peppered with a heavy dusting of KNOWLEDGE about your PRIVILEGE.

I teach swimming. 3 to 8 year olds. Told one of my 5 year olds I had a birthday 2 days ago. I asked her how old she thought I was. She said 60. I'm 32

Her mom replies to her, "you think he's 60? How old do you think I am?"

She replies "20". Mom is definitely in her 40s. Mom trained her well it looks

I've been coaching a 6-7 yo basketball team at the local YMCA. Total fundamentals and passing and dribbling thing, though I have a couple kids who are kinda good.

I have this one kid who is a remarkably difficult kid, when he starts spazzing he really brings down the whole practice. Today he was asked to pass the ball to a teammate and he goes "no, he's bad," and after being told that he shouldn't say that and should pass to his teammates he just throws it as hard as he can at the kid. Then I ask him to apologize and he says no.

wtf

You're not really empowered to flex nuts at the Y. Was easier to flex nuts on the tennis kids tbh.

It's a good lesson for him even if he doesn't listen. Eventually kids like that (like us?) need to learn that building effective relationships is more important than being the star. I wish I had a coach when I was young that called me on that attitude.

Gotta love TITLE IX, taking money from the poor black kids so Connor and Heather can invest some of their discretionary funds into Skylar's softball skills so they can achieve a 15% ROI on their college investment.

I'd like the echo the sentiments in this thread by complimenting G10 on an excellent wife

Both my boys have played Summer A Ball from 8u up, really fun to watch.

Grilled Cheese Disappointment Son had the best ever Summer A Ball 1st inning ever: 9 pitches, 9 strikes, 3 K's.
He was just throwing straight smoke in 8U and players are just starting to catch up to him now at 11U. Always been just a field general beast and also the sweetest kid in the world and loved by all teammates/coaches.

My other guy is 13 and made the top top local AAU travel team and starts. Sons I am proud.jpeg

Game is in an hour, will let you know how he ADJUSTS. Also I didn't really get punked so much as he punked himself by then crying and leaving practice with about 3 minutes left.

It's more that I'm not sure how to communicate with a kid like that. So far I've been patient and encouraged COOPERATION and TEAMWORK and he's basically complaining or crying every second that he isn't touching the ball. Happened in last week's game too, he started crying because he was called for being out of bounds. He was 2 feet out of bounds. Etc.
