Not really. Sounds like he used the shotgun formation and blasted everyone--owners, coaches, media people covering the league, and some players. Seems like almost everyone had a motive to release the emails if they had access to them. Poor dumb bastard probably doesn't have a friend left in the NFL community.

This **** is just a tiny tip of the tip of the iceberg of the stuff you know is said behind closed doors in the halls of power, with 99.9% of them not being so stupid as to put it in an email.

The idea that this is the same as firing people for being edgelords a long time ago when they were younger does not hold up to the slightest bit of scrutiny. You can just say what you've learned if you've actually done a sincere reckoning of the impact a culture of constantly throwing out bigoted statements even if you "don't actually hate anyone" as if it's not a huge imposition for people the slurs refer to, to decide which slurs are sincere. And that will get you out of almost anything, maybe even including Chucky's situation, but we'll never know, because those people like Chucky are just never ever willing to do that.

Not behind closed doors? Solution is to get rid of doors, or a microchip, so we can police everyone's thoughts.

As has been hinted at above if you analyzed all correspondence and conversation past and present of all 32 head coaches and all assistant coaches, a vast majority of all 500 of them would probably fail the test. Players too. Announcers too. Fans too. What does that mean for the idea that if you are a bigot you need to be out of here?

If anything this shows what a depraved entity the NFL is. Gruden got got as collateral damage to an investigation into Washington. This is likely infinitely worse for Snyder but it’ll never see the light of day cuz no owner wants Snyder to be revealed knowing full well theyre just as bad if not worse

The point is the question I posed: how to deal with the problem. I guess you eliminate the most flagrant violators and try to educate/evolve the lesser violators. You can't remove bigotry from the NFL any more than you can from anywhere else. So getting rid of this flagrant violator is a good thing, but getting rid of all of it is some kind of chimerical bullshyt.
