The vast majority love them, but there are obnoxious drunken, belligerent idiots everywhere. There are tons of people who would love to pick a fight with a star athlete. Not because they are anti-football, but just because they are jerks and jealous of the attention they get.

Yep. No way that happened. When I was at auburn back in 03 I had a few classes with Cadillac williams and a few other football players and cadillac was pretty much treated like a king. Students weren't begging for his autograph or anything but they respected him and treated him like another student. I'm sure Johnny football is treated like royalty when he goes to class.

also i dont know about you guys but when i was 21 i could at least go through the motions after pretty much any amount of drinking

Really not that rough. I got trashed plenty of weekend nights and woke up to play baseball/softball/football tournaments in college. Majority started 7-8am. Of course I couldn't do that anymore
