Ran into a dynasty team. No shame in losing to that Cowboys squad. Sometimes you get to the big game and face a juggernaut. Of course 6 times that didn't happen.

I don't have any experience watching my team (as an adult fan) the whole way through the season to a Super Bowl and seeing them fall short of a comeback at the end, but I imagine it must be difficult.

The two most painful losses of my sports career were perhaps the Ravens losing to the Pats in last year's AFC Title Game and Maryland basketball blowing a 22 point lead to Duke in the Final Four in 2001. Both teams redeemed themselves by winning the title the next year, and it actually made me happy for those painful losses because they made the championship wins that much sweeter.
