For me and most people i know who hate Boston teams it doesn't stem from jealousy, but rather having to suffer watching games with or sitting in bars around the most obnoxious/racist/know-it-all sports fans in the country. As fans you're so awful i cheer for the yankees against you and i hate them too. I never realized this until i moved to Seattle which is full of ex-NE'ers. Before then i was a Boston sympathizer.

as a rays fan i can say the last reason I am enjoying this is because I am jelous. MOstly its for all the red sox friends I have who now are praying for death after all the sh i t they talked earlier this season to me. 2nd most is for my hatred for CC who is traitor POS, nothing could possibly make me happier then him dropping that last ball. 3rd is for a chance at redmeption against Texas. Mostly though I am just happy for the rays and all of our players because I have been following this team heavily since about 2000ish.
