Announcers would go crazy:

"He seemed almost bored after sinking that 45 ft putt to win the Masters, like he'd been on this green all day. Did he just yawn?"

Basically if there's no burning-at-the-stake/kidnapping-for-secret/etc going on, you can do whatever you want given enough persistence. Infinity is nothing to f with.

edit: you can't really play Cornerback/NBA center/etc if you have to pass an eye-test, but you can still be the best in the league at either just based on waiting for opponent mistakes. Rewind until a dropped pass or missed layup, profit.

I don't think I am- I understand that the real answer is an overwhelming "yes" to every sport(due to having literally infinite trials). I don't really disagree with you; I just think that your posts came across as underestimating those aspects. I used to play DII bball and even when I was still in my prime there were some really good DI players I played against who could absolutely lock me down to the point where it was difficult just to get a shot off....for the average person, they really underestimate how tough this would be- thats all I was saying. Perhaps I just read too much into your post and you weren't really doing this, I dunno.

stop answering with golf, golf isn't a sport

like wrestling and Diablo III, it has a separate forum outside SPORTING EVENTS

I personally would play a sport that requires as little energy expended with the least risk of injury as possible. Snooker/pool would be great, wouldn't need to worry about position as you could pot anything from anywhere on the table, no matter how crazy the shot. If you wanted to deflect attention you just play good position and safety and be just that little bit better than your opponent. Maybe not as much $$$ or fame as other sports but you'd still be very comfortable.

And imagine the tilt you could put on people playing poker. I reckon you could get Phil Hellmuth to have a breakdown at the table.

Actually, thinking about it, would have to play online, 2 min rewind wouldn't be enough playing live

This is false. If you replay, the shooters actions will be different (unless you do everything exactly the same up until his shot (see chaos theory))

It's enough to play perfectly against river bets/raises, which is enough to crush, assuming you aren't ridiculously bad at other spots.

Yeah but crushing on the river wouldn't be half as much fun as calling OOP PF with 83 sooooted against a 5 bet, runner runnering the flush and saying to Phil, "sorry about busting your aces man, just had a feeling on that one". Anyway, back to real sports

Hockey goalie isn't a terrible idea. It's not like you're running up and down a basketball court getting rebounds or throwing 40 yard bombs. How many takes do you need to stop a puck? There's only so many shots per game. Plus you can let through the occasional tough shot without arousing suspicion.

Plus, with a little work, you could look cool doing it.

If you were so inclined, you could inflict multiple career-ending injuries on your most hated players with impunity. Launch into a vicious two footed tackle to snap their knee, rewind, crush their trachea with a running clothesline, rewind. Would probably end up hurting yourself a fair few times in the process though.

For that matter, you could go around shooting people.

Or drive really reckless (hope you hit rewind before you die).

Put it all on a number in Roulette, get banned from casinos for never losing at Blackjack, etc.

You could rewind TiVo, then go back to before you rewinded TiVo

Would take too many retries to fake being a good athlete if you weren't.

Would be more useful in coaching of course, you could just run any play you wanted over and over till one worked well, and just do that the whole game.

You'd have to lose a game every now and then though just so you didn't get banned for going like 19-0 every year and ruining the game.
