Anyone interested in the horses? I'm from the UK so I follow UK racing more but I do watch the big international/USA races as well

One of the £1M questions on WWTBAM over here years ago was a USA horse racing question, got to assume it would've been an early question in the USA version as it was easy as pie lol

Anyway bring on the Cheltenham Festival!

I got (A) before they put up the rest of the options.

I love the ponies. Just like watching them run even if I'm not bettng on them. Wish horse racing got more love on these forums.

I've got a 3 week vacation planned around golf, horse track, casino in no particular order in Ruidoso NM later this summer when it's 100+ degrees Fahrenheit where I live. 80 degree days and 60s at nights there. Can't wait.

Nice, sounds good!

I'll be at the Grand National next month, I alternate between going to Cheltenham Gold Cup/Grand National every year, always get lucky and win a few bob but it all gets spent on the ridiculous priced beer lol

Also yeah I wish horse racing got more love on here, no idea why it's not that popular

there is a horse betting thread over in the Sports Betting but it doesn't get much traffic these days

also there is a Triple Crown races thread here but it doesn't see much activity other than around Kentucky Derby time (1st Saturday in May)

I just did a Kentucky Derby trivia book and I did pick one Derby winner in 50-something years.

Not a horse racing fan but that was some race POG. Wow what a finish. That horse saw daylight on the inside and shot through like a bullet. Everyone else was in slow motion. Watched it like 5 times.

great race and well timed by borel. lol call by tom durkin, doesn't say MTB's name until he's well clear and a few strides from the finish

2009 and 2010 breeders cup classics always get me with infinite replay value. i keep thinking maybe somehow 2010 will end differently if i replay it one more time. mike smith is bad and should feel bad. zenyatta and denman respective goats.

never trust a chad brown horse on dirt

usually prefer longshots in the derby but fierceness at 5/2 looks pretty good

Ha I bet Mystik Dan at the last second on a lark. I did it on the "mystical angle" on the heels of Mage last year, in which a psychic type I met on line picked Mage (meaning "magic") in her first ever Derby bet. Anyway it barely covered a bunch of exotics we were pooling. Oh well, you win some you lose some. I waxed last night at Louisville Caesars about a possible dead heat in the Derby, with my Derby chip card guard and Churchill Downs scratch pad. Almost. That's only my second Derby winner ever, I think.

Grats on the win. Fun race, those two in the middle ran him down but ran out time.
