Jesus of Nazareth

Was Jesus really the son of God? Did he even exist? Who gives a ****? You know what I do know? That no matter whether those things are true, the world counts fully 2.4 billion people as Christians today.

Jesus may or may not have existed, but even if he didn't, his legend has inspired more people to devote themselves to him, to literally believe he is both the son of God and the Word made flesh, than any other person in history. And even in our time, we've lived through a number of false prophets, from Charles Manson to L. Ron Hubbard to David Koresh to Tom Cruise. Do you think any of them could inspire the combination of worldwide and sustained devotion that The J.O.N. did? Hell no.

And I know you know that, in our skeptical world, barring some ''The Matrix is real and Neo has liberated us all" event, that nobody is ever going to approach that level of worship again, in breadth or depth.

So I give you, The GOAT at getting people to treat him like a literal god, now and in perpetuity.

pick seems meh. he wasn't all that goaty while he was alive, almost all his goatyness came after he died. and whats the point of being a goat if you aren't around to enjoy it? unless he really was god, that would be very goat.
