I just never understood Rex Ryan going with Sanchez over proven winners

Tim Tebow - BCS National Champion
Greg McElroy - BCS National Champion

If you can't trust that what can you trust!

The Raiders are playing the wrong USC Quarterback in my opinion, Matt Leinart is a BCS National Champion (Vacated). Matt Flynn is too, the Seahawks will never get anywhere in the playoffs! And where the **** is Vince Young?

At least Carolina has the right idea

I honestly think cousins>RG3.

Washington doesn't have any incentive to flip Cousins unless someone makes them a preposterous offer

In all seriousness there is absolutely no rational explanation that I can come up with for why they guaranteed his money for 2013. Now you may say that the Jets thought he was going to 'take the next step' so they wanted to lock him up, but they didn't even do that! They just guaranteed his money for 2013 for no reason whatsoever, eliminating their ability to cut him and creating an irreversible cap disaster.

There is much talk of coaches who should be instafired for horrible decisions, and lord knows there are plenty, but this should be a turbocanning of Tannenbaum. So, so bad.

And that's to say nothing of constructing a roster without a single offensive weapon.

Well, the jets aren't that terrible outside of the qb position. Good defense, decent oline, competent running game, a couple of decent receivers like Holmes and Keller. There's also a possibility that Johnson (owner of the jets) forced them to re-sign Sanchez

Yeah, Cousins would end up going to the Jets for, like, Joe McKnight and a 7th rounder .

Smart decision, Jets are never keeping Tebow, so get someone who might be on your roster next year some experience before having open tryouts for the wider New York/New Jersey area.

The way he runs into his own teammates, fumbles balls, throws to DBs on opposing teams.... Could be tough. Maybe he should start trying to throw picks and maybe he'll perform better.

The Jets receiving corps leaves a lot to be desired. As horri-terrible as Sanchez is, you can say his primary targets have been different pretty much every year, never getting the opportunity to completely gel with a single WR.

Does that make up for throwing into quadruple coverage while you're back peddling? Not a chance, but they likely could have given the guy a little more support.

I was expecting a Ryan announcement saying something like...

"Sanchez will start next week because he gives our team the best chance to win"

Well, if the Jets chance to win with any of their 3 QB's is 0%, technially he's tied for the best chance to win.
