Cruzeiro vs Vasco 0-0 which is great for us. We just need to exchange points with Cruzeiro and we will be nicely set up to advance.

Good result for Vasco too really. Pretty happy.

Yea should have seen that Brazil v. Brazil snoozefest coming. I actually looked at the line expecting it to be much closer than it was. Surprised to see Cruzeiro favored so much so thought there was something to the line. Still 4 wins 1 loss and 3 pushes on this round of Libertadores is something I'll take all day

Ah man. Paulinho of Vasco broke his arm. He’s by far their best player.

I didnt watch the game but aparently ColoColo performance was beyond pathetic. Lol chilean football in general, they may not even make Sudamericana at this rate.
I think ColoColo has more talent than us (UdeChile) but they have a psychological block in Libertadores. Its OK to lose to Atlético Nacional but they constantly fail to get results against some very random opposition.

PUMAS clearly best in Mexico City

Only 1 team in Mexico City gonna be playoffin' and it isn't Pumas.

Piojo just used the same lineup in a not so important match vs. Necaxa that he we will use Tuesday vs. Toronto. Just did them a huge favor. On top of that, Cecilio picked up a serious injury. I thought Toronto had little shot, but they might actually do this.

Not sure if Cruizn even checked the lineups, but Chivas played mostly kids and rested a lot of regulars to save for their CCL match vs. NYRB.

Both Toronto and NYRB were off this weekend. Seems like 1 of them will probably make it through and we won't get a LigaMX súper clásico final.

My Monterrey squad sorted them out last night. Unfortunately I was on the Landon's too though who are appearing more and more like a pathetic squad. #freelandon

Also LOL Chivas

Didn’t bother checking the lineups. Almeyda is a real ****ing dumbass for not going with his best squad last night. They’d be tied for 7th place right now had they played their starters and won. Don’t get why he’d give up on the league like that. Fireable offense imo.

Best to root for. Not necessarily best team right now.

Second and final Carioca Cup final today. Vasco with a 3-2 lead entering their home leg. But without star Paulinho. I’ll be there. Vasco has been in good form since the food poisoning loss to Val’s team a few weeks ago. Vamos VASCO

Wow. Match will sell out. Crazy. 70,000 or more. Never seen any more than 40k for a Brazil match. Even the pretty big ones are closer to 25,000.

Yah, it was a critical match for Chivas and he mailed it in. América are the ones who should have been resting players. Both Piojo and Almeyda are dumbasses.

Also the Chivas match was hilarious. 18 seconds in Veracruz scored off a missed backpass, and that was it.

LOL scenes in the Paulista final!

Ref awards a penalty to Palmeiras. Corinthian players swarm the ref grabbing him, pushing him etc... ref walks around for 5 minutes and hasn't made a call. 8 minutes now gone by. Ref just walking around the field. Has no clue. No one knows the call. Police involved.

Carioca final. Sellout crowd of 65,000. 75% VASCO fans.

Turns out there is no road goal tiebreaker so their 3-2 lead was less big than it seemed. Outplaying Botafogo for the third game in a month, a red card late on the first half changed things and put VASCO on their heels. Botafogo had a ton of chances but aggressive (and risky) goalkeeping by VASCO kept the sheet clean. In the 3rd of 5 minutes of injury time Botafogo got a red card for a tackle on a VASCO breakaway. The VASCO fans, smelling victory, were delirious after a solid 10-minite stretch of tension and angst. But it all fell apart as in the waning seconds, on what seemed to be clear last possession of the game, Botafogo scored in a chaotic front of net situation. The whistle blew and the game was over. Off to penalties as Botafogo’s equalizer brought the aggregate to 3-3.

In penalties it seemed destined for VASCO as they took a 2-1 lead after two rounds. But alas it was tied after four rounds and in the iffy round, shooting second, VASCO failed to convert, leaving the Botafogo faithful delirious and the VASCO fans in shock.

Couple CONCACAF CL plays for tonight

América/TFC Over 2.75 -120

I think the most likely result is América 2-1 or 3-1. They'll be pressing for goals and their defense has been really shaky. I think TFC will hit on a counter or 2 and make them pay.

Chivas +0.25 +105

Chivas rested most of their starters even though their LigaMX match over the weekend was super important. They're clearly prioritizing this CCL run. They've been bad all season, but are a lot more talented than NYRB.

Heading up to RB Arena now. Fossil and cruizn who are the studs on Chivas? Any Mexican NT guys? Buzzing off the Liverpool win

Alanís and Pizarro are their NT guys. Pulida is usually a stud but has been struggling. Pineda is also quality.

This is crazy, don't think I've ever seen an MLS team straight up dominate a Liga MX team like this.

Lol at getting a yellow for time wasting in the first half hour.
