LigaMX is back this weekend! Big weekend featuring el clásico joven between América and Cruz Azul. Cruz Azul and Chivas desperately need a result to keep hope alive of making la liguila.

What is La Liguila?

Already backed my teams Queretaro and Monterrey at the bookies this weekend. Let us Liga MX! Will try to tune into America v. Azul too.

The playoff

Only 5 matches left until an 8-team playoff starts. Then 2-legged ties until a champion is crowned.

Liga MX crowns 2 champions a year. So results in the opening half of the season aren't included. Not really a fan of 2 champs a year, but it is what it is.

LOL LIGA MX! This sport has literally the most perfect format of any sport. Why can't this continent get it right? Or this side of the world for that matter

Vasco with the upset win over Fluminense to go to the Carioca final VS Botafogo. Goal in what seemed like late stoppage time to win 3-2. I was in a favela at the time and people were going nuts. I’d definitely bet them on a Sunday.

Ahhhh just read that the final is two games. Home and away between the finalists. Both Botafogo and Vasco have chosen Maracană as the stadium so effectively a 180 minute neutral site title game. Will likely go to the 2nd leg next Sunday to cheer on VASCO

Can anybody tell me why there is so much hype around Racing Club de Avellaneda?
They are 6th in the current argnentinian table.

Tigres laying the wood to León up 4-0 at half with no Landon Donovan on the bench to save León.

Chivas with a huge road win to keep playoff hopes alive.

América v. Cruz Azul in an hour!

Was on them. Didn't see the game but red card couldn't have helped much

3-2 in first leg on a sick bicycle kick late in stoppage time at Botafogo’s stadium (they changed it from Maracană). Played better, really gave up a sloppy goal early on a turnover. Great game. Leg 2 to decide it next Sunday at MARACANĂ.

A draw with Racing at home isnt great but it isnt bad either.
They were probably more likely to win until they were reduced to 10 men in the middle of the second half.

At this point Im hoping both brazilians are eliminated, I dont see us getting a result against Racing at Avellaneda.

I like Cruziero tonight. Kind of a letdown spot for Vasco sandwiched between legs one and two of the Carioca cup (last two matches emotional 3-2 wins with goals in the last minute of stoppage time), plus Cruziero at home after a bad loss in their Mineiro state title game leg 1 on Sunday. Tough scheduling for both teams to have a Libertadores match right in the middle.

I already locked in Cruzeiro. Tonight's plays so far:

Cruzeiro -1 -115
Gremio -2 -135
Boca Juniors -1 -105

Going heavy on home favorites tonight. More to come later most likely

The Libertadores schedule is lol. Almost all the games are piled on in a month.

Ude Chile has enough depth to handle its own in the Chile league ( we won last Friday without any of our ex Copa América winners playing). Im hoping we can get an edge there.

Also Im hoping Cruzeiro dont win their Vasco game. A draw is probably the best result, but I wouldnt mind a Vasco da Gama win given we close with them at home.

gonna ride with you on the Cruzeiro and Boca bets. Gremio -2 at -135 is a bit much.

All the better teams are at home so pretty straight forward.

You playing Chivas RBNY?

My book is showing Chivas -0.75 -115, and there are probably better lines out there b/c BetOnline sucks. That seems really low. Was expecting something like Chivas -1 -130 tbh.

I think the Mexican teams are really being underrated right now. If you look at the 2 previous years, of the 6 matches played between MLS and LigaMX on Mexican soil, all 6 were won by 2+ goals. Sure MLS is a bit better this year, but I don't think it's as dramatic a leap as the odds would have you believe.

I'm going big on Chivas.
