Ha my wife is aware of my past in South America. Zero chance she's letting me get on a plane to go to Mexico City solo

it sucks that the final is going to have to be postponed until the 26th and 29th of December bc of Monterrey having to go to the World Cup of Clubs, but if it’s Monterrey vs America, then it’ll surely be worth the wait.

Also, looks like Necaxa already has a new manager lined up bc they are refusing to reward Memo Vazquez with a pay raise. lol ****ing morons

Just send Tigres instead. Noone will notice and the tournament looks stupid. 7 teams and 3 of them are from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and New Caledonia.

In other news Veracruz was voted out of the league and are apparently just gonna dissolve the club b/c the owner was such a deadbeat. Someone will probably step in a couple years and revive soccer in Veracruz, but still kinda sad.

Lol, would be the sickest week ever to win CWC and LMX. I’ll be in Azteca cheering on Rayados.

Que chingue a su puta bomba y verga madre el América!

Just bet Monterrey at 7/1 to qualify to the final. I know it’s Liverpool, but that’s just too much to pass up. Vamos Rayados!

The groups stage of 2020 Copa Libertadores starts on March 3rd, 2020, but its first qualifying stage starts on January 21st
My predictions of 2 of the 3 winners in the first qualifying stage
Universitario
Progreso
The remaining match is currently unknown: Guaraní vs. a Bolivian club

Binacional became the the new champion of Peru on December 15th.

The Liga 1 is the top level of Peruvian football. The 2019 Liga 1 had 18 clubs participarting in 2 tournaments: Apertura and Clausura. The winners of these tournaments and the top-ranked team in the aggregate table would advance to the playoffs.

The results of the playoffs:

Alianza Lima 1–0 Sporting Cristal (Dec 1)
Sporting Cristal 1–1 Alianza Lima (Dec 4)
Both clubs are from Lima. Alianza Lima was the winner of Clausura while Sporting Cristal was the top-ranked team in the aggregate table. Alianza Lima won and advanced to the finals.

Binacional 4–1 Alianza Lima (Dec 8)
Alianza Lima 2–0 Binacional (Dec 15)
Binacional, the club from Juliaca (Puno region) and winner of Apertura, won 4-3 on aggregate and became the new champion

I lived in Peru for a year and I feel like every year they invent brand new teams out of thin air.

Most popular clubs in the Americas based on Facebook interactions. Look how massively popular Flamengo is compared to everyone else. Pretty good showing for Liga MX with 4 teams in the list (#s 3, 5, 9, and 19). MLS snuck one team in there at #20.

Clubs by country:

Brasil - 6
México - 4
Colombia - 4
Perú - 2
Argentina - 2
USA - 1
Costa Rica - 1

Brutal 10 minutes for América. They go from up 1-0 to 1-1 and down a man and now ANNA Janssen is entering the match.

I'm shocked Sporting Cristal is more popular in Peru than Universitario. A LOT must have changed since I lived there. Alianza still GOAT tho...

I think I got all those crests except #7. Process of elimination tells me it's a Colombian team(?) but can't place it. Or did Millionarios change their crest because I can't believe they're not in this list either

I just got home from my own soccer game anyway but I completely forgot this game was on. Good to see Rayados doing Rayados things. Need a 2nd
