A shock return for the little magician?

Philippe Coutinho has reportedly told a close friend that if he could “rewind” a year he would.

Seems he’s having a tough time in Spain. #LFC
Obviously unlikely to happen.

looks like PSG is loaning TIM WEAH to OUR CELTIC

Bild reporting that LFC is in for Timo Werner. Very doubtful that we bring anyone in during January. I think the only players Klopp has brought in during the January transfer window is Marko Grujic and the Caulker. Would be quite happy with Werner in the summer though.

They should loan Choupo-Moting to an MLS club, if any would have him.

I mean, the guy is #2 in all time PL assists and spent 3 years at Barca. I get the argument that he's wasted a couple of years at Chelsea but will certainly go down as one of the all time greats.

Why would United sign a CB when we have Jones and Lindelof?

Random rumors:

Lukaku to Juventus perhaps, would be long term replacement for Mandzukic
OGS would like to get Josh King cuz Norway (£25m?)
Solanke to get loaned to CP/Hud/whoever
Everton & Arsenal also in on Doucore, not just PSG
Juventus, City & Barca in on Tanguy Ndombele, agent says up to €80 million
Barca interested in Rashford
Nasri to Ham for 6 months at £80,000/week
Chelsea planning on moving Gary Cahill this window cuz coach hates him - Aston Villa out cuz he costs too much
Weird rumor about Keylor Navas to Arsenal for €13m
Frenkie de Jong to Barca for 5 years
Brahim Diaz from City to RM for £13.6m plus add-ons, signs 6-year deal
Ranieri apparently wants to trade Tom Cairney to Newcastle for Jonjo Shelvey
Aaron Ramsey to PSG?
RM has offered Mateo Kovacic & Isco to Chelsea for Hazard
Chelsea working on terms with Nabil Fekir
Napoli rejected a £95million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly when Mourinho was still around

That's enough random rumors for now

I seem to be the only one not scoffing at Ever Banega. Getting him and a CB in and Ramsey out would be very decent business. Recall Reiss Nelson.

Is he brought up in that context often?

I am not trolling. Genuine question

I don't rate Banega that highly tbh. I know January transfer window and all that.

We desperately need a CB tho also wouldn't mind a forward player for depth as Özil is a hugehuge questionmark

Pretty much the only thing Cesc can't do anymore is run, right? He should absolutely kill it in that dead league.

I must be getting soft in my old age, because I don't think I have any hate for him at all anymore.

On one hand, he did create the most chances of anyone in the CL last season (more than half of them came against Utd...lol).

On the other hand, he is 30 and we really need a good CB and a winger.

Don't really want Banega, but Ramsey is gone and Ozil is a gigantic question mark.

Think Nelson is just coming in next year rather than splurging £50m+ on a uy like pepe.

As per the Ornacle

Quote:
With no major departures expected in January and heavy investment in new signings and contracts over the past year, Arsenal do not have significant funds to spend in the upcoming transfer window.

Any permanent acquisitions, loan fees and salaries will be drawn from a modest budget and therefore loan deals are more probable, with out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, 24, among those under consideration. That budget is likely to increase substantially in the summer.

There have been conversations about recalling defender Calum Chambers and winger Reiss Nelson from loan spells at Fulham and Hoffenheim respectively, but with Chambers the chances are remote because breaking his season-long deal would incur a fee, while there is reluctance to disrupt Nelson's progress in Germany.

My only hope is that the club is using Ornstein strategically to get better deals.

There is no indication Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will inject any of his personal wealth, which tallies with the club's managing director Vinai Venkatesham reaffirming their commitment to a "self-sustaining business model" during an interview with the BBC in October.

Kroenke providing external resources for player recruitment could also raise potential issues with Arsenal's ability to comply with football's Financial Fair Play rules and Premier League regulations limiting how much a wage bill can increase year on year.

Furthermore, the club are said to be realistic about their current capabilities relative to those of rival teams. This partly explains their commitment to young players and confidence in the talent coming through.

Although Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Liverpool saw head coach Unai Emery and the club hierarchy criticised in some quarters, there is an internal belief that they are moving in the right direction after a tumultuous period which saw Arsene Wenger leave as manager after 22 years in charge and numerous staff and structural changes behind the scenes.
Oh well . . . At least we have a shot at loaning Gary Cahill and Denis Suarez! God forbid we disrupt Reiss Nelsons 10 min per game over in deutschland.
