The Barkley to Spurs rumours are interesting. I seriously doubt Spurs are paying anything like the £35m touted, especially with Barkley only having 18 months left, but Barkley's chances of a move to the likes of Man City sailed a long time ago, and Spurs are probably Barkley's ceiling right now - the reverse could also be said as I can't see Spurs pulling of a move for the likes of Draxler or Isco.

Think he would be a good addition at Spurs, but Everton are going to dig in for a high fee, and Levy will no doubt prefer to sign him for free in 12 months.

Could see Poch being really good for Barkley's development. Barkley/Dier partnership could be pretty decent.

Almen Abdi - I think Zola would be interested in taking him at Birmingham for the £3m we paid. He was arguably Watford's most influential player in a successful period under Zola's management.

Fullbacks, please! I don't think we bought Adam Reach intending to play him at LB. With that in mind, I don't think any of our fullbacks are up to the mark. Not for what the manager asks of them anyway, which is a lot.

We also need a centre back. We have a solid centre back pairing for this league, but they both get injured a fair bit. And we are a lot weaker when they do. Relying so heavily on a 36 year old Glenn Loovens is foolhardy to say the least. I think we'll find stopgap cover in the loan market and look to recruit quality in the summer. That would be fine.

Maybe you haven't followed Draxler recently but given his underperformance the last 2 years and his publicly asking for a transfer, a club like Spurs or Plop is where I'd expect him to end up for maybe 25m

Barkley is arguably the player in the PL with the closest skill set to Dembele. Like Dembele at Fulham, Barkley's scorepoints for an AM are a little underwhelming - and like Dembele I think he could be more successful as the shuttler in the pivot.

Spurs have also been linked with Schneiderlin and Depay - lukewarm about Schneiderlin as i'm not sure he's in our best 11, and would step directly ahead of Winks in the pecking order. Depay is a firm "do not want" - the last thing Spurs need is another forward who takes too many low-equity shots.

City/Mun/Chelsea would all be horrible moves for Barkley, unless he wants to spend 3 years in the reserves earning truckloads of money and end up at Sunderland.
