Congrats to the Aussies.

How did Rogic play?

Quick Google search tells me he was the star man providing much needed attacking quality.

Lol that he had to sit and watch Jackson Irvine play last week.

Peru being shady with the whole travel thing is bad karma for us. They have all the pressure to qualify. Nz is gonna play this like they are freerolling. Scary.

Vamos Perú!

It's been a long wait since 1982.

Peru is pretty much a Liga MX squad. hoping they make it.

NZ with 0 shots on target in 160 minutes so far. Doesn’t look all that good for them.

Does anyone know what order they'll do the draw in? Typically it's Pot 1 first, then pot 4 ... 3 ... 2. Given the two European teams per group maximum, the draw order is important.

Congratulations to Perú. They will be my team in the World Cup.
We didn't deserve to go , we thought we could beat teams just by showing up and the team became too cocky.
11-16-2017 , 01:39 AM
Football wise I'm still not sure how good Perú are , they will definitely be the team from pot 2 that everybody will want.
They can be competitive against anybody from pot 3. Against the Europeans side from that tier they will have more possession of the ball but really vulnerable set pieces.
They will be hoping to get Russia or Poland in pot 1.

I would think they all want Mexico.

Congrats Peru.

Complete joke that NZ doesn't play off against asian opposition every time. No other losers have to go to South America they playoff within their zone. People can rubbish NZ but last time we got to play off against Asia we won back in 2008!

You automatically make the play off and complain about it despite your actual standing in world football? Join the Asian federation like Australia then....

To be clear - If they go 1 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2, you will end up with groups like Russia, TBD, Denmark, Australia where TBD comes from Peru, Colombia, Mexico or Uruguay. Since the two (actually three) weakest teams in pot 1 come from Europe this is advantageous to the teams from the Americas - they'll have a 1 in 4 chances of faces the hosts any time Russia or Poland (or Portugal) are drawn with an European time from pot 2 or 3. Meanwhile the Euros in group 2 could be screwed - they'll be guaranteed a tough draw if Russia & Poland both get Euros from pot 2 or 3.

Of course if they go 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 it's good for England, Spain, Switzerland & Croatia.
