They've never really had a good striker, they had to play Zigic lots. Maybe mitrovic becomes that striker soon but they've already wasted the prime of their best players : kolarov, vidic, ivanovic, matic, ljacic, tadic, tosic is an insane amount of talent for a 7M inhabitants country

Serbia had twice as much possession and twice as maby shots plus hit the woodwork. Obviously with the early goal it would be expected for Ireland to set up that way, but I don't think tbe story is that outrageous. People define "lucky" or "unlucky" different it's not a completely random take.

the guy on tape is a businessman from El Salvador who says he is asking the players as a favor for a millionaire Honduran businessman friend. the players of El Salvador tried to get the name of his friend but this scumbag wasn't stupid enough to actually tell them that. he did say that his friend isn't involved in te Honduran federation/team in any way but not sure if we should believe that part or not.

also, had no idea Andres Cantor could write in English so well.

I take it he's been so much better everywhere than he was for Dortmund. Björn would probably know better.

Also, that was a sweet goal by the Israeli last night. Buffon looks kinda dumb but there's nothing he could do about that lob I'm sure.

Not really. He scored 22 once in Italy before Dortmund purchased him and has since been loaned all the time, scoring no more than 5 goals per season as striker. Surely Italy has better than that to offer?
