because many of us idiot yanks watch that as well (which was my point on the French team) and can easily be applied to the France/Belgium match. So, it's not just the EPL that idiot yanks watch at a good clip. Which kinda goes against the wanting Belgium to win just because of the EPL theory that you're coming up with.

Unless you don't consider this a proper OP, of course.

Ticket prices plummeted for France Belgium in St Pete with Brazil out. Going for 60% of face value right now. England/Croatia a touch below face, buoyed by being in Moscow so tons of neutrals still there.

Let it be known that i offered our resident belgian the OP on a platter since Belgium in a semi-final and all but he wanted it less, after that it was just my duty as a proud coq to muster all the condescending that i felt was appropriate for such a situation.

Now he made

Cina is always made, though. That just seems to be his natural state. Maybe his mum diluted his milk with water when he was a kid. I hear they do that sort of weird **** in LÖLgium.

I don't understand the whole yanks only being fans of the Premier League, I thought soccer fans in every country in the world only followed their domestic league and the Premier League

I for one am really missing the YNST top 10 team in the world discussion with Yank casual fans this year.

Clark, could you post "But we won a friendly" just one time, for the feels.

It's the Y *M* NST. They do add that signifier in YANKland. Apparently they don't LÖL at women's football over there. Think about that for a second.

Dumb Yank here that follows the Champions League and not the EPL because I enjoy watching quality football.

In the US, while La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 are on TV, it's much easier to watch EPL (there are a large number of games covered--typically most of the games on Saturday morning and games on other game nights) and Champions League (especially the top teams and the EPL teams are always on TV). I'll assume the demand for EPL is much higher than the other leagues--like they show El Clasico on multiple channels but not many other games.

They need to.be more Germanic, Die Nationalmannschaft! Nothing similar about that.

Haha! Never thought about that.

But then, the word "Frauschaft" doesn't exist in German. We call the women's NT "Frauen Nationalmannschaft" and we WOULD call the normal NT "Männer Nationalmannschaft". If we were to add the YANK signifier, that is.

Im going to brag that I already have clinched my 12 person work pool by having correctly predicted England France and Belgium all coming out of the correct quarters. Should France beat England in the final (highly unlikely) and Belgium win 3rd (likely) I will have correctly gotten 1st-3rd all correct from before the tourney started
