Not sure why so much fuss about him being named a few days before world cup. it may look bad but at the end of the day "being fully focused on the world cup" etc.. is cliché, you can prepare your team the best way and sign a contract with a club also, there are 24 hours in a day

Essentially this. I suppose you could argue they are drawing a line for the future. Putting their foot down that they won't be ****ed with by RM. But it is just such Latin soap opera stuff.
