Also the markets is also incapable of knowing that Senegal has good players or what?

There is no scientific evidence behind semi home advantage. That is precisely why you can take advantage from it.
If 538 has published an article about it the edge would be gone.

The Senegal thing is already mostly being recognized by the market imo. At one point it wasn’t but the market already adapted. Them being valued as the 11th most expensive squad only came yesterday but lines haven’t shifted at all.

My recommendation mostly comes from Colombia being overrated imo.
Poland is slight underrated. I’m just pointing out the Senegal stuff because they have a good roster so it’s feasible they could beat Colombia.

The expert move was calling me out from recommending Peru while at the same time saying Senegal should be at least decent because they have the 11th most expensive squad.
Peru is 30th but my alternative explanation is that the Brazilian league is hugely underrated.

I may be over adapting to everybody finding Morocco value. Maybe the amount of average joe money pouring into Portugal makes up for it.

Has anyone compared travel schedules between the teams? Google didnt yield much for me. I remember travel and climate zones were a huge story four years ago, shouldn't be this time but maybe time zones?

Yeah there are lots of miles to be travelled by many so it could well be a travel sickness jet lag type issue more than anything for some teams. Majority of teams are travelling over 2500 miles for the group stages alone. With some teams I. E. Egypt travelling 5700.

Columbia is the lowest with 750 miles to travel in the groups

8/13 here.

Spoiler:
Fontaine, Kocsis, Rahn, Cabillas and Lato Never heard of the latter 4 but I should have got Fontaine as you always see that he got it in 1 world cup.
10. Tough one.
Spoiler:
Missed Rahn (never heard of), Lato and Cubillas (heard of at one point but would never ever get).

Seems poor planning. Are camps done before the draw is done?

Yeah for lots of teams. I read that a lot of teams wanted to be out the way. England for example picked before the draw. And teams were concerned with traffic levels around Moscow were so bad the time saving of being there isn't that much better than flying.

But I don't really know how much of an effect it would have compared to like what players are used to for champions league games etc. But something to consider at least.

It’s a bit bizarre. I’d imagine they’d get police escorts though if they did indeed stay in Moscow?

You’d have thought (i think they do tbh) FIFA would have had these agreements in place to allow teams to get to the ground as and when they want.

They always say traveling to Moscow for a CL game is a nightmare travel wise. Although those figuers are cominbed travel I don’t think it’ll actually be that much of an issue, they’ll be use to traveling for a few hours here and there. Not as if it’s going to be in a wooden box either.

I just checked for a potential likelihood of a DEUTSCHLAND - Soviet Russia match in Stalingrad, but there will only be group matches there.

Belgium - Panama
Argentina - Croatia
Senegal - Colombia
Uruguay - Soviet Russia

Such a missed opportunity for GÖAT ÖATness missed by the organizers. Maybe Uruguay have some Operation Paperclip descendants among their staff, though.
