Was quite the controversy he got picked originally over McLaren (McLaren later earned a reprieve due to a camp injury)

Cahill has played about 80 minutes total for Millwall the last six months so he will only be an impact sub.

To be fair, if we are going to be hoofing in long balls there are worse people to be on the end of them.

Difficult to argue with that logic. It also appears that if he scores he will become one of only four players (currently Pele, Klose, and Seeler) to score at four different finals.

Man if I was a fan of the french I would be irate. Deschamps is such a donkey. Easily the most talented squad at the World cup and this is the lineup you trot out and the style you play.

Back 4 picks itself for the most part.

Midfield:
Just let kante do kante things and free pogba + one other attacking mf instead of matuidi (tolisso or fekir.).

Front 3 of mbappe griezmann dembele(thauvin). GL dealing with that.

Instead they shackle their midfield 3 and just cross bot to giroud.

This is a bad opinion. That being said he should be coming off the bench late in game to manhandle tired defenders and not starting games.

They bossed the Euros, just happened to face the best european team in a close but fair final.
