Geromel was fun at Cologne, he didn't look like he'd be good at football but certainly was. Bit like Naldo. Maybe Bundesliga isn't the best league for South Americans to make their respective squads? Only James in Russia AFAIK.

IIRC changes are allowed until the day before each team's first match. It is probably more likely than not (for a given team) at least one standby player is called.

He always had temper but I can see why he's pissed, Deschamps didn't pick him because of bad performances with the NT but he mostly played him out of position, the guy just isn't a 6.

This isn't a big deal for France in the WC what worries me is the mob of pundits asking for PSG to axe him out of the country (see Anelka, Benzema, Ginola, Cantona).
