It's not like there will be more than a handful of native-born Qataris on the 2022 World Cup squad. I presume their team will be almost entirely bought naturalized players from around the world like when they hosted the handball world championships a few years back.

I made that assessment from the Qatari under 20s that got destroyed 4-0 by Nigeria earlier today. Assume that some are hopeful of making the senior squad in 3 years.

the usual. 24-team field. 6 groups of 4. Top 2 of each, plus the 4 best 3rd-place teams advance to the round of 16 knockout stage. Same format as USA 94

also the usual USA struggling. lost to Ukraine today 2-1 as decent favs. Ukraine was +270ish, while we were +105ish
