Djokovic makes Federer fanboys outright furious, and it makes sense because they might sense he's more of a legit potential threat to the GOAT crown than Rafa

Being a Djok fan doesn't make me hate Fed, I just correctly point out that Djok might have destroyed his soul in the 2011 US Open semis

only real reasonable question here are the odds Djoker has of finishing with more slams than Federer. or coming even close.

if he comes even close, his career would almost certainly be better than Federer due to competition, but hes a big dog to get to like 14

Goat is a weird function of ability, record, legacy etc. As far as tennis playing ability (NOT talent) is concerned, Djokovic is #1 of all time, with Fed and Nadal close seconds and slam less, no chance at Goat, Murray not far behind. Yes, Murray's tennis is far better than that of multi slam winners of the past.

It's no surprise that the currently best player is playing the best tennis we've ever seen..tennis has been improving leaps and bounds over the last decade. Pretty sure we'll see better tennis than Djokovic's best within the next 10 years.

Let's ssay he wins 2 of the remaining 3 slams and repeats last year's performance.

That'd put him at 7 slams at the age of 24.

At the end of the season of for Federer at 24, he had 6.
At the end of the season for Nadal at 24, he had 9

I don't think he's a "big dog" to get to 14 at all. Federer ages and Djokovic has a style that is a favorite over Nadal on 3/4 surfaces.

He could theoretically have 8 major wins in his mid-prime at age 24. Should definitely end his career in the double digits

I didn't know Sampras/Fed played before. I think **** like that is really cool...when comparing potential GOATs, even if they played at extreme different ends of their careers it's still cool to see.

the only reason the final was close was because djoko was clearly fatigued after one less day of rest + that long match against murray. Under normal circumstances it would be over in 3 or 4 sets
