Minnesota recruiting has been pretty bummy overall I thought. They did get Amir Coffey who was a decent recruit

Amir Coffey is not only from the state of Minnesota, his dad played for Minnesota.

Recruiting rankings (247 composite):
2017: 69th (10th in the B1G)
2016: 33rd (6th in the B1G)
2015: 34th (6th in the B1G)
2014: 64th (9th in the B1G)

If Richard Pitinio is paying for players* he's doing it wrong.

* I mean more than the ticky tack under the table stuff that you have to assume almost everybody does.

Hmm, thought they were pulling better recruits than that.

Nope, Coffey is the biggest name and he was the composite #50 recruit. Classes are a middling 4 star or two and then 3 stars.

About what I'd expect for an average team in a P5 league with a modest history of success.

“I was devastated to learn last week of the allegations made against Emanuel Richardson. I have expressed to both Dr. Robbins and our Athletic Director Dave Heeke that I fully support the University’s efforts to fully investigate these allegations. As the head basketball coach at the University of Arizona, I recognize my responsibility is not only to establish a culture of success on the basketball court and in the classroom, but as important, to promote and reinforce a culture of compliance. To the best of my ability, I have worked to demonstrate this over the past 8 years and will continue to do so as we move forward.”

Per CNN, 98% of the money from Louisville's current Adidas contract went to Rick Pitino

Take this with a grain of salt (this is an internet forum after all), but my good UK friend (I know, I know UK ppl must have an agenda) has a contact that has been spot on through the years in regards to cbb.

He's telling him that KU is starting to get nervous. Kansas signed a big deal to switch from Nike to Adidas and it involved the same guy that did the L'ville deal. Also, the NCAA is sniffing around Josh Jackson among others.

Again, this is all secondhand stuff, but I know the contact to be "dialed in" so to speak to most things cbb.

I don't know why people are just now talking about this. I remember hearing years ago that Pitino made a deal w/ UL that he would sign for a reduced contract, but could negotiate the adidas contract and keep most/all that money.

IDK what the Adidas deal was worth but it seems he got over huge. I would think he would get like 10x more money from the Adidas contract then any discount he would give. It's not like he was coaching for $2mill and the going rate for elite coaches is $10+mill.

I think most people already assumed this. Wiggins, the shady Cliff Alexander recruitment, adidas - pretty easy to connect the dots and assume Kansas is ****ed.

I think it has to do with people very rarely thinking about UL

Its no wonder the FBI kept this completely hidden from the NCAA

Cpnsider the day the NCAA just had today

On the exact same day that the NCAA concluded a multiple year investigation by ruling UNC was not in the wrong for offering fraudulent classes to athletes since they also offered them to students(lol )

They turn around and rule an NC State player ineligible for the entire year for actually going to class

So remember before the Wake Forest-Louisville football game there was the whole Wakeyleaks thing about Louisville stealing Wake Forests playbook...

Well since the Wake Forest game Louisville football is 4-6, including losing at home to Kentucky and Boston College as 20+ point underdogs. I'm not saying, I'm just saying...

It made me think the UL board is obviously run by a bunch of children that see something in the news and auto-accept it all as truth. They should have waited for the facts to come out.

Bombshell dropped.

As if Tom Izzo didnt have enough problems with the evidence that he covered up sexual assault by his basketball players, he now has FBI documents that show his star player was paid by an agency he met with.
