Earlier this month the University of Toledo qb scored on a 22 yard scramble with 1:22 left. The UT Rockets had trailed by 1 pt while the defense had only one timeout remaining. So he could have slid down at the 1 and kneeled it out before trying a game winning fg.

Not really a coaching decision. Maybe there is a cost to training your players to pull up near the goal line and assess the situation.

I can't remember which game it was I was watching yesterday, but a team was backed up on their own 2 yard line late in a half on fourth down with the score being close; they lined up to punt, and took a timeout to save a delay of game penalty.

Thus burning a timeout in a close game at the end of a half...to save less than one yard. I understand the punting zone is tight when you're backed up, but this seems like a bad decision to me.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the Packers kicking a FG to go up by six. They gave the ball back to the 49ers with over two minutes left and they had no tos.

Rodgers bailed them out but going for it on 4th was correct. A TD wins and a FG likely ends with you losing by one.

I want him to admit one time in his ****ing life that he was outcoached. He is the most arrogant piece of **** to never win anything worth a damn around.

When asked tonight if he was outcoached he said “nah, we had 382 yards they had 211”

And you turned those 382 yards into 13 points. If he showed an ounce of humility at any time and actually realized he has glaring coaching blunders he would be one the best. But instead he just deflects to the players and will continue to just meander around mediocrity.
