The only downside to the weekly voting is many midweek contests might get overlooked. However I think sticking to the process is more important.

Also I'd like to table a proposal regarding futures.

Before any major event (or league season) each partner is allowed to submit one future. Week before the start or league or comp everyone casts 3 votes and top 5 futures get picked. This will help us separate long term investments from our weekly investments.

Also I recommend that for any competition to be eligible for future investments, it must be backed by 10 total partners Including the original suggestor.

Anything that would take less than a month to resolve however should be left out of this and should be thrown in with weekly votes.

This is what happened this week with Brazil. Proposers and all just need to do a better job with the timeline. Some were season long and some were mid week. Just need to outline them.

Partner jayC is in charge of tracking voting success (this seems like a huge job btw but obv the information will be of high value)

i think what you suggest would work but that the solution could be simpler

i dont think there should be any categories or rules or whatever to Proposals other than the fact that they gotta wrap up on or before 1 June 2020. the ballot box sorts everything out. if Partners dont want a lot of long-term investments, they will vote down long-term Investments

on the fade side, i think the answer is just that the lowest vote-gaining Proposal is faded with the proviso that long term Investments are ineligible for fading.

if a long-term Investment finishes in last place, and the 2nd to last is a short-term Investment, the 2nd to last is faded

no need to construct a load of rules around what is short term and what is not - i know it when i see it

Query - I will be making an investment proposal next week, which will be to lay a certain competitor in a market which is not yet on the investfair exchange, although the counter proposal to back said competitor is available on the investfair main book and widely available so we clearly know the return on the proposed investment. I assume I can make this proposal and, if selected, it can be actioned when the investfair exchange has the market available (and liquid enough) to action said proposal (or, an alternative investment market has an equivalent route to actioning the proposal)?

Sporting event would be completed the second time my group of partners would be up to propose obv

[x] Proposal will be Actionable on Investfair
[x] Proposal wraps on or before 1 June 2020

seems fine

if Partners are unnerved by lack of immediacy then they wont vote for it

Update for Fremantle Dockers vs Melbourne Demons.

Two key defenders for Demons are out (Jake Lever and Michael Hibberd). This should allow for more opportunities for Dockers forwards such as Jesse Hogan (the revenge game guy) and others to score many goals (worth 6 points) and behinds (1 point) to defeat the lowly Demons.

For those who want to learn a bit more about Australian Rules lore, Hogan was traded to Fremantle from Melbourne last year. Before he played his first game, he rocked up drunk to a recovery session and was banned by Dockers for a week. Guy is an absolute party animal, but hopefully the motive of REVENGE will lead us to success this week

Hogan stuff

Quote:
Fremantle's lauded recruitment of Jesse Hogan for 2019 has been thrown into chaos on the eve of the AFL season after the superstar forward missed a club training session on Sunday due to "poor alcohol choices".

Dockers football general manager Peter Bell said Hogan would not be available for selection for the club's round one match against North Melbourne this Sunday after a long drinking session on Saturday left him unable to take part in important match simulation training with the main playing group the next day.

Oh yeah, this video popped up of him in the off-season as well, no idea as to when the video was filmed, but careful viewers may be able to notice a few things about his demeanor to suggest perhaps he is not on the straight and narrow.

I would also like to add that the voting threads be locked/deleted to allow conversations to converge to the MASTER thread.

Very close to tabling a special motion for fading all 538 wwc bets. Currently their model is getting absolutely ****stomped and at almost -300% roi. What's interesting is the 538 model have crushed the past few men's and women's world cups. Makes me think something is inherently ****ed in this iteration.

If there's anything I love in gambling it's hammering the other side of someone who's getting crushed.

I'm not sure what's more bizarre, a model somehow having an ROI less than -100% or people double spacing after full stops in 2019

Is it possible to join? What is the investment cost for late entry? I propose that on June 1 2020 a very small percentage of profit is donated to a good cause (because of course there shall be profit) and then redistributed to partners.

there will be a series B round of financing in the coming weeks, non-partners that have registered interest will be contacted via PM when the time comes. there's two of you so far

the Capital Investment required will be 1/66th of Fund Capital plus a 10% premium or £10, whichever is higher

on your second point, thanks thats a generous suggestion but i dont plan on taking any extra remuneration from the Fund
