It's not 2014-16 levels but much better than last two years, and without the threat thus far of them binning each other into the gravel trap.

its the best on the grid but ferrari were approx equal to them in aus and quicker in bahrain. they aren't miles ahead like we've seen in the past

Bahrain maybe but that's Merc being worse relative to the entire field rather than Ferrari being closer, would be surprised to see many other races similar to that. Red Bull at Monaco I guess, possibly Singapore.

Aus? You mean Baku? They were well off in Aus and China, even in Baku they still would have needed to nail everything to really compete.

Alonso misses Indy. McLaren looking like Williams. My favorites are not converting inches to centimeters correctly causing the car to bottom out at speed and using the wrong gear box costing them 1+ mph in average lap which is **** tons as they missed out by something like .0XX mph.

Obv Lauda's driving career was eaybbefore my time but he undoubtedly helped make F1 popular in Germany. Obv Schumacher did the heavy lifting on the track but multiple generations of people got to know/ grew up with F1 with his work as a pundit. The rare well-liked pundit as well.

I assumed he would be back. That sucks.

Is there a legal activity that is as dangerous as F1 was?

Would it be legal to have a sport as dangerous as F1 was?

If the cars could push technology in a dangerous way, would the racing be better?

Isle of Man TT is the answer to both

Was watching old Monaco highlights. Is there anything with more swag then Kimi Raikkonen parking his broken car ending his race as far away from the pit as possible and just walking to his yacht and drinking instead of getting a ride back to the pits.

Hope Gasly gets replaced by Kvyat or Albon because then we can see if it is because Gasly is bad or because Verstappen is amazing this year.

should be a lot of interesting stuff going on here. two mercs going into turn one, leclerc down the field and a 90% chance of rain

monaco tends to be either great or, more often, total snoozefest..
