merc used to have a hardon for pascal wehrlein, but hes out of f1 and seems to be too much of a dickhead to get back in

hulkenberg has always been muted for a move to a big team, plus he's german

perez has been linked before, altho he seems to have been overshadowed by ocon (who was for a long time part of the merc developmental program or sth)

maybe someone will separate themselves from the pack this year (grosjean? gasly? magnussen?)

and finally, alonso can opt out of his mclaren deal at year's end. who knows if they'd want to risk lewis/lolonso shenanigans part 2

my wild guess is that they'll either keep bottas another year, or go for ocon

In commercial I see some dummies wiped each other out! Synchronized spinning.

ferrari strategy let them down yet again, amazing how much of an edge red bull have over them in that department. race was such an easy vettel win if they knew what they were doing

ricciardo showed mad max maldonado how its done

nice race for bottas after looking like a bit of a dumbass last week

im getting real mad about the director btw, so many times in this race there was action at the front, particularly when seb was within half a second of bottas and later when the RBs were charging, and the ****in buffoon in charge was showing vandoorne vs stroll battling over 14th position

Watched my first race of the season yesterday and man the halo took me a while to get used too. Just can't believe there hasn't been more backlash from the drivers. I watched the Hulkenburg video posted and another virtual one done with Johanssen and I get it more but still...

Helluva race yesterday though and yeah LOLferrari. Cool to see Ricciardo so excited.

Lol track position on MAX with slower tires seems like a great strategy to get run over. Incredible game theory to tell championship contenders that to defend a position from him they have to sacrifice their race

I'm curious when you guys think Stroll will get a top6 drive if he keeps progressing at the same rate? 2 yrs 3 maybe? Next year seems premature.

quite a bit of paper talk about it being a genuine 3 way fight now. dunno where that's coming from. RBs have been half a second a lap slower than merc/ferrari in all three races, ricciardo win was awesome but without the timely safety car he's finishing 30 seconds off the pace

renault supposedly have an engine upgrade coming in time for spain (mid may) but who knows if it'll do anything

He would have to pay Ferrari several hundred million dollars?

There are so many drivers looking for those spots. It doesn’t help him that the team seems to get worse every year with the fastest engine.

Who will retire in the next couple of years?
