i guess i can see the logic, not sure if it is correct. didn't look like he could possibly move up, and could de-risk a blow-up by pitting. what his team should have been looking at was his relative risk of a blowout compared to the others in the top 5 lol.

It looks narrow, but there are places on the track you don't want to go, so you would think if you got inside on some of those turns the outside car would have to back off.
