lots of shenanigans but it came down to lewis behind seb but on fresh soft tyres vs seb's mediums with 30 laps to go, so lewis needed to pass him and then stay ahead until the end despite going half the race on softs. passed him after 4 laps of chasing and managed to stumble home

No other thread for this.....Bikes on bbc1 ni. Showing the north west 200, some of the most thrilling racing you'll ever watch.

Every year it comes on telly I promise myself I'm going to go watch live, hopefully I get there one day soon. Ffs only an hour away,

one of my earliest memories is watching cars go round that big hairpin thing with murray walker shouting his head off

ferrari look the strongest right now although i'm sure the mercs will put up a fight

jenson (standing in for alonso who is off doing yankcars) has a 15 place grid penalty for an engine change, which is a shame since this is probably one of only three tracks which mclaren have a chance at scoring decent points on

red bulls unfortunately dont look up to it

lance stroll put his williams into the wall in practise again

supposedly they can do the whole race on the ultra soft tyres, so i wonder if lewis will start on supers and then pit lap 1 to get the change out of the way and (assuming they get the car sorted) hoover up a load of places while in clean air

i quite enjoyed it, the pit stops and safety car were somewhat intriguing

another podium for daniel, nice to see. for all the hype surrounding max he's been comfortably outscored since moving to the main red bull team

alonso retired with about 85% of the race done, drove well and was leading for much of the early part. was in 7th and passing people when his honda engine blew up and appears to have had a shot at the win altho i dunno how likely

recorded the fastest average lap
