Poor driving from Perez - should get a drive through for that contact on Grosjean which spun him around.

I don't think they had much choice. Ferrari were getting way more laps on their tyres. It would have been an awesome finish if Hamilton could have stayed on track a bit longer before his final pit stop and then switch to mediums, but I don't think that was an option.

It was a fun race though. After the first race that is a great turn around.

Then there were days before that where drivers suits appeared exactly how Alonso's appears to be.

safety car finish is even worse than a safety car start, but I guess couldn't be helped in this situation

edit: would like to see laps under the safety car not count towards the race distance. I don't care they might run out of fuel, just another thing the teams would have to factor in to their risk/reward calculations (like they already do in a race with high likelyhood of safety car - they underfuel)

Agree, would make it way more interesting! Definitely think it's something they should consider. Finish like that is so boring.

should have ended under the virtual safety car if anything

maloldonado had a hilarious GP

even by his lofty standards

-messed up turning into the pits
-spin with no one anywhere near him
-crash

if they turn the engine up to full power it falls apart, so they have to use a limiter

It's sort of fair enough / expected - these days you are not really allowed to test at all, outside of race sessions and a couple of ~two day events prior to the start of the season. Honda engine is brand new this season, the others were new at the start of last year so are basically a year ahead.

I see their point too, they claim "you aren't likely to consistently beat Mercedes by using an engine supplied by Mercedes". So they figure their hope to win one day is to be primary partner of their own engine manufacturer, and they'll take their beats now while trying to get it up to spec asap.
