it's first against third in a decently close title race a few games from the end of the season, if that doesn't generate a ton of advertising money I don't understand how Barça and Real get so much on their tv deals

I was really encouraged when Hannover beat Union 2-0 last week with a good second half, this is putting it in perspective.

Nice to wake up to a 1-0 home win against lol Hertha thanks to a screamer from a debutant in the team.

Hertha are always lol in the Rückrunde. However they still look surprisingly good to make Europe this year. Esp. should they beat Augsburg on Sunday to save their Englische Woche which they will imo.
I think Jarstein apologetically raised his hand after the shot. He still hit it super well and Stocker was fast asleep there, too.

Fun season apart from the top teams as mentioned above.

It's not how much it makes. It's how much it makes vs a different kick off time. Difference negligible i would imagine.

I'm no tv marketing expert, but the value of a weekend prime time tv slot has to be on a completely different level. Regular people aren't even back from their jobs at 18h30m on a weekday

I assumed you were talking about KO time. The federation decide fixtures not Barca presumably. And they don't base midweek Vs weekend on financial considerations usually. At least that's not how it works in the UK or Ireland. I doubt Spain is different though.

Madrid derby being in the UK no TV time slot is as dumb as the no TV for 3pm KO rule

i think they do it on purpose to steal asian viewers from the premier league. both by putting it directly against the premier league and by not having it be late evening asia time
