What's the current climate? I sure hope hand grenades are still prohibited inside stadia on the Balkans? I mean, I like a good ethnic cleansing during a football match as much as the next guy, but I'm just wondering what exactly has changed in the climate since PNHH took that picture last year.

Red Star v. Dinamo Zagreb home and away should go well.

On the other hand, the Adriatic basketball league is basically all Ex-Yugos isn't it? And that seems to go off without relative incident. Obv a much smaller scale (or is it?) but if they can do it relatively civilly (again by Yugo standards) why cant the football?

User PNHH took that picture last year on a trip to Belgrade I believe. I'm not 100% on Belgrade, but it definitely was in ex-Yugoland.

Yea it looks like Red Star's stadium so wanted to confirm. Been there a few times as well. Intimidating place.

phnn was at the sarajevo derby iirc.

i think a yugoslav league sounds like a great idea, but it seems like it would produce a couple of news stories a year where you'll be shaking your head while reading.

the idea is to start with youth teams and womens football apparently and then move forwards. uefa/fifa will have to be convinced too.

So Draxler has seemingly pissed off everyone at Wolfsburg enough that he may actually move in January. Pretty steep fall from where he was (a bit over) three years ago. Probably best for him to move abroad for a while to get out of the focus a bit, probably England considering his wages

TAX BOLLOCKS COMING UP

Spoiler:

In a statement today the company said: 'McDonald's pays a significant amount of corporate taxes.
'From 2011-2015, we paid more than $2.5billion in corporate taxes in the EU, with an average tax rate approaching 27 percent.'

So, they are now moving to the UK for operations outside of the US.

Cut the tax that other big companies make and try get them to be based in the U.K. I fail to see why that would be bad for us?

I don't think Ronaldo is some perfect creature that is incapable of evading taxes, but if he declared 203M€ in the Virgin Islands and still has enough left over that he feels is worthy of hiding...god damn, that's a lot of money.
