Stuttgart play Hanover on the weekend so they'd both be thru by a draw should Union win tonight

I don't see Union winning tonight though.

Not sure what to root for. Draw I guess

What do you think about today's CL action? Can Monaco pass Juve or is it impossible?

Kate at least had the awareness to realise there's more than one football thread

today Champions League semi final...
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, what do you think about it?

In my opinion a good bet could be both team to score paid 1.62

Any other ideas?

I wrote this article to explain why I think so http://bettingmind.com/football/EU/champions-league-2/atmadrid-vs-real-madrid-2/betting-tips/

Do you have any suggestions on how to improve this match preview?

thanks

that new celtic kit is so beautiful i cant even get myself to order it because i'm not a fan thus not worthy enough. and looks even better without the sponsor, imo... i'll just admire it

Got one pre ordered for jr from before release, wasn't going to bother for myself until I seen it (obv no sponsor).

I was curious about the no sponsor. That's epic that they give you the option. Even though it costs more, i'd expect they'd sell alot more without sponsorship. Look so much better.

Extra fiver for no sponsor on top of the extra fiver I pay because I use the club shop.

I'm a sucker.

Ambush/all,

Please can I have a mini review of Kasper Dolberg, which other players does he compare to? And who's the best player, Dolberg, Traore or Jannsen?

I legit was wondering if you misspelled Klaassen or who else you could have possibly meant but I think you're referring to the legendarily underwhelming Vincent Janssen there? Can't comment on him other than I find him to be meh.

Dolberg (19) is the stereotypical calm Scandinavian type and a great finisher. Sometimes reminds of Bergkamp or Van Basten. Almost always available for a pass from midfield and generally keeps possession with ease or gets fouled (a lot).

Doesn't look as quick as Bergkamp in his ajax days, but isn't slow either and doesn't really rely on speed all that much. Sometimes looks weak when shoulder to shoulder, especially against those huge Lyon guys, but at other times his balance is fine. Can see him become one of the best strikers in the world if he remains fit and develops well, although the stuff that strikers tend to improve on with age is the stuff that he's already great at. Top, top player.

Traore (21) offers great hold up play and can dribble past anyone at times, but his decisionmaking and finishing are often poor and don't seem to be improving all that much. Could be at this level all his career, or could improve a bit and become just good enough to start for a team like Spurs (which I don't think Janssen is). Don't see him ever starting for top, top teams.
It can be frustrating to see him play on the right wing, always cutting inside onto his left even though he can't Robben for **** especially with Younes doing the same on the other side. That said, he has done very well in the EL this season imo (except for last night).

TLDR They are both probably already better than Janssen. Traore is physically/technically gifted but stupid. Dolberg could become elite.

Traore looked elite against us even tho he didn't score. Doesn't he already have a pre-contract with Chelsea or something?

Bayern just cut their ties with Badstuber in a six sentence press release. Pretty cold.

K, let's see.

Buyern-liga is over LDO.
Serie J will be over this weekend when Juve beat Roma.
Ligue PSG is all but over, but shockingly enough the ligue name holders are not even winning; Allez Monaco.

So it looks like the only possible drama we may have coming our way has to be from La Liga, where Barca and RM share the 1st place with 84 points and Barca are currently only winning thanks to their superior head-to-head record.

RM have a game on hand and will therefore be presented three opportunities to **** up, whereas Barca will only get two.

It kinda sucks that none of the teams Barca/RM will face have anything to play for.

RM
- Sevilla H
- Celta A
- Malaga A

Barca:
- Las Palmas A
- Eibar H

I honestly doubt we get to see any blunders at all from either of the giants. Mayyyyybe RM draw one vs Sevilla or Celta, but they can afford it.

He is theirs (-2019), on loan at Ajax. Don't know the details, maybe we have an option to buy him or something.
