Well it has to be in the bag now for Monaco, up 3 pts., a match in hand, and a pretty easy remaining schedule. PSG even have an away match to St. Étienne that won't be a gimmie.

Has any team had a more embarrassing season than PSG? What were their odds at the start of the season to win Ligue Uh?

Isn't Monaco basically Leicestering this season to a degree? I mean, their 18 year old Mbappe became a $120M man all of a sudden, their 21 year old Lemar is beasting as well, and Falcao came back to being the good old goal-scoring Falcao after 2 years of being...well, not so much of that.

Monaco have always been a good team and they had good runs in the champions league

but yh players are performing at their top level just like leicester did or chelsea are doing this season

You forgot Bakayoko! Dude is nasty

But PSG were still landslide favorites to win the league, to the point where it was basically a formality. I don't remember the number but were they second highest favorites of the top leagues after Bayern right? And then to add to that they blow a 4 goal 1st leg win the Champions League including a 2.5 goal lead with like 8 minutes to go

Any predictions for the Juve Monaco match? I'm thinking about betting -2.5 goals but I dunno. Monaco's attack has been deadly, but I don't think they can do much better than Barcelona.

also Juve have only received 3 goals in 10 CL games

Undoubtedly in pole position to continue their utter dominance of French domestic football, Coral go a massively long odds-on 1/12 price on PSG retaining their Ligue 1 title and making it five in a row.
in hindsight its obvious that losing laurent blanc was a blow from which PSG were never likely to recover

Do you think Rooney will stay for the next season?

i wish werder bremen's first half of season wouldn't have been such a dumpster fire so that they could be competing with hoffenheim and rb leipzig for a top 4 spot. but then again, who knows if the 2nd half run would have happened if they weren't so up against it

upgrading at striker wasn't enough to overcome the managerial downgrade

I was referring to Mata actually. Rooney is 100% gone this summer.

Unless he goes to China, they'll have to subsidize his paycheck surely.

Thinking of Rooney trying to find a packet of mayfair and a double cheeseburger at 1am on a Saturday night in China amuses me greatly

Yeah I imagine he'll get a sizable golden handshake.

I think some teams in the MLS would be willing to pay a pretty penny for Rooney

I heard that Hannes Wolf (managing Stuttgart atm) is already set to succeed Tuchel in 2018 or whenever.

Not sure. At his stage he'd be willing to take a massive pay cut to end his career the way he wants. He hardly needs the money. Him and Colleen must be worth well over a hundred million.

A quick google tells me the top earner in MLS (Kaka) is on $7.2m per year. That's around 1/3 of Rooney's current wages.
