Yeah, I don’t know much about the players we have signed but we have overhauled most of the key areas of the squad this window, we just need the central defender completed and a right back and we’ve patched over most of the glaring holes and should be a more competitive outfit. The Argie on a free transfer looks like an astute bit of business. Now it’s up to JLop to get a tune out of them.

65mil for Solanke is a lot but the guy has progressed year on year as well as pretty much anyone. If they were to get three years of him at last year's level then I'd call it a success and a good chance he still has room to improve given the typical peak ages of footballers.

^ yeah, that's pretty much my view on Solanke. Plus, although the fee is high, I'd expect his wages are fairly modest which makes it a much better deal that it appears at face value.

My only concern about the Solanke deal is his age. About to turn 27 and basically should be prime now with diminishing market value. Seems like a “back the manager” type of singing. I do like him as a player, just hard to live up to the pricetag.

We need a good wide player still, so more disappointed nothing has happened there than anything.

Isn’t Mikey Moore supposed to be your Saka/Foden in terms of potential and talent? Now that Neto is gone, I can’t really think of too many wingers out there that you’d want to spend 30-40m or more on just to block him.

And it looks like our teams have done a deal on AWB. I hope AWB does well for you and he was a real professional in his time at United. It’s a good price for you and he is extremely good at the defensive side of the game, but he does lack in the attacking phase. Overall, I think it’s a good move for both sides.



I’m extremely happy with the De Ligt signing. There is the issue of Dier being ahead of him at Munich, but he’s 24 and Ten Hag knows him well. He may not have turned into the beast that people thought would he would at 19, but he’s still a massive upgrade over Maguire and Lindelof. He’s not perfect, but he is an improvement and is about to enter his mid-20s. I’ll happily take it and I hope United can land a decent DM and LB by the end of the window.
