I think PSG want to keep Mbappe for one more year. They just need to pay Messi salary with some conditions and pay a bonus next season when they sell Mbappe.

It's telling that the announcement came from Barcelona and not Messi.
This is purely posturing to make La Liga allow them to circumvent the wages rules.
There's no way on earth CVC would've put the money in if there was a danger of Messi not playing in La Liga.

I'd rather M'Bappé extends and we get like Camavinga but hey if he still don't want to talk extension then a clean breakup might be best for everyone, would feel weird rooting for Messi after these years of blind hate but everyone should have a chance to totally redeem themselves.

I wonder if we can work Ronaldo in there too, that would be a decent watch.
