This is the worst of days. Spurs getting a seemingly quality CB (analytics suggest it might be even better than decent), Kane retreating to his castle after 2 days of striking and Xhaka signing a 4 year contract.

Xhaka getting a new deal is fine. He almost left 18 months ago for Berlin. Almost left last month for Roma. If they can't get more than 12m for him, I'd rather keep him, try to sell AMN/Elneny/Willock instead and have Xhaka as the third guy. They're mostly extending him bc they can't find a buyer this year, then next summer he would have 1 year left and wouldn't leave bc of the impending bosman.

Apparently Operation Bluekaku is still on the table, we're allegedly preparing a bid in the €120-130m range and Lukaku is open to the idea of going blue and getting paid fat stacks.

I think we're undoubtedly overpaying if it's true, but we need to strengthen and we lack a player who can finish the chances.

lukaku seems fine by me.

reckon itll be a 3/4/2/1 and tuchel is gonna go mad scientist finding the right pairings for the wingbacks and the non-lukaku forward players. havertz/mount/werner/ziyech gonna get rotated a little more i think.

tuchel has already tried CHO and pulisic as wingbacks also.

I reckon we've got **** all money. I'm not sure if our interest was legit or not but we want to do every deal on a Sullivan pay over five years, which puts off a lot of people. Mid-table at best without us pulling off a 3/4 players to challenge the first team, which I suspect is unlikely.

I don't think we've had a bid, they were much keener when Lampard was in charge and brave young English folk were more in vogue.

I reckon we'll try and do a couple of deals where we buy now pay later and flog Rice to finance it.

I'm old enough to remember the January window when we were going to buy a striker but didn't and were putting the cash towards our £60M SUMMER TRANSFER WARCHEST (current spend: £1m).

30m apparently. But 6m of that goes to Liverpool. Seems high for a guy with 1 year left but I'm all for it.

Were also looking for a CAM and holding midfielder according to tier 1 journo. Legit no idea where everyone fits in if we sign another attacking player

£6m of that goes to Liverpool I think, with £1.2m of that to us. Maybe we'll put it towards some more LED lights.
