We have spent some money!

Really happy with this one, looks like there were some big clubs sniffing around and some of the comments from Stoke fans show that they really rate him.

Saliba had a more than decent season, if he is not in the plans it is time to sell.

What is the point of buying a defender for 30mill in order to loan him out 3 times while not even giving him a competitive minute? Madness

If arsenal end up spending like 200 mil sure whatever. But if we do the white deal then penny pinch elsewhere Im going to lose my ****ing mind. Arsenals xfers have been so incompetent outside of Tierney and martinelli lately I have 0 faith those in charge have any ****ing clue what they are doing. Just fire them all into the sun.

Arsenal fans attachment to Saliba is weird. He hasn't played a game for us. We might have "wasted" money on him but it's not our money and we could recoup most of the fee if we wanted.

Grealish is great, but whoever gets Jesus/Bernardo/Sterling at a deal will have done well imo.

What do you mean attachment to Saliba?

How is it not riddic stupid not to give a player competitive minutes, loan him out for 3 seasons straight (especially when he is doing well on loan) and then buy a new CB for 50mill.

Does that seem like smart resource management to you? Or a transfer team (committee) that has a plan?

However, the interest from champions City is genuine and they will be able to offer Grealish the huge incentive of Champions League football.

Despite Grealish's unquestioned loyalty to the club he joined at the age of six, the lure of European competition will be significant. He will be 26 in September and has still not played in a European game at any level for his club.

Villa sources have insisted no move to City is imminent and official negotiations between the two clubs have not taken place.

Grealish impressed in England's victory over the Czech Republic on Tuesday night and is poised to start against Germany next week.

wouldnt have all this press from tier 1 journos if it isnt real.

just whether the pay increase can convince him to stay one more year. If we had grealish fit all last year we would have had a real shot at getting europe. Hope he tries 1 more season

Tier 1 journos and everything coming out the club is that they're spending money expecting grealish to be here. Makes sense with them wanting to give another contract just 1 year after giving him one. So I don't think they're prespending.

We really need to get this sorted asap. Going to **** with future transfers if they don't know if Jack is going to be there. Real good % to leapfrog spurs and arsenal next year if grealish stays fit...so I hope he just gives it one more year and if don't make it, then selling would be understandable.

If we sell we will be 8-14th for the next 5 years

These owners are legit. Pretty dam rich and we now have 0 debt.

With the team you have today your points o/u will be ~12+ behind Arsenal and Spurs. You're much worse because the second Grealish goes down you can barely get a shot or result.

The "we don't expect him to leave" is just terrible spin. Spurs fans remember it with Bale. Arsenal fans remember it with Cesc/RVP. It's so transparently stupid.
