So basically the people who reported the following were right, as confirmed per Ramos at the press conference: Florentino offered him one more year with a 10% cut, Ramos told Florentino he wants 2 years, but Florentino said no. A few months later Ramos tells Florentino not to count on him for the next season.

A couple of months pass by and Ramos tells him that he agrees to the one more year and 10% cut offer. Florentino tells him the offer had expired a while ago (and RM had signed Alaba), Ramos *pikachu surprised face* says he didn't know there was an expiration date on the offer.

Hopefully he still gets paid by one of these slave owning clubs, otherwise he played himself badly.

His more talented wife makes plenty of money to keep the family living well.

Hakimi is 100% coming at this point.

It would make sense if Villa have known that for a while and they've gone out and spent (and put bids in) to replace and fill the squad in advance so they don't pay a premium after the sale.

In that price bracket you can probably name individual strikers, no? For example, Lukaku and Haaland.

For Lukaku, the drop off is between 5-10 a season in the PL, as that's roughly where he finished being Kane when he played in the PL (also factor in he played more games but didn't take penalties).

Haaland it's probably similar numbers to Lukaku, with the caveat that he's probably higher ceiling but higher risk.

So it probably costs 5-10 goals a season for your shrewd outlay of £80m.
